I paint abstracted landscapes bringing together different cultural influences; images from the countries I have lived in, vignettes from Bruegel's paintings, and Anatolian Kilim patterns. My cross-cultural landscapes are fragments of shapes, colors, and lines which overlap and contradict each other never resolving as a whole.
