Elle Marrone

Studio # 217

Elle is a Dorchester dog walker by day and the designer and crafter of Artifacts Everyday wearable polymer clay art. Each unique artifact is a celebration of the everyday lived experience and reflect her lifestyle as a woman in motion, colored by her background in urban policy when she first pondered visual dialogue and synergy on a busy sidewalk or in a subway car. The clay is visibly manipulated by a human hand and the shapes and colors are intended to elicit specific emotions, ideas and conversation from the public. Each piece meets two criteria: 1) it remains comfortable and intact during a long day of biking and dog walking and 2) it receives three or more compliments in one day.
