It might very well be a color combination, the blowing of the wind, or a strong emotion that serves as a ‘jumping off’ place from which to begin a painting. Lorrie likes to guide the viewer through the piece with lines, patterns, colors and energy to enable them to sense the same joy she experienced in its creation. It is not what you see in her work, it is how her work makes you feel. Lorrie’s hope is that your sense of wonder and curiosity is stimulated and that you are able to find something which speaks to you personally in each of her pieces.
Lorrie studied at the Boston Architectural Center, Montserrat College of Art and has received several awards for her art. She is an Artist member of NAWA (National Association of Women Artists), Rockport Art Association and Museum / Experimental Group, Abstract Artists Group of New England, and Rocky Neck Art Colony. Her work is collected internationally.
