Charyl Weissbach works in encaustic, creating pattern and arboreal-based paintings incorporating a variety of techniques and materials, including gilding with metal leaf, metallic powdered pigments, and resin.She creates customized stencils with the use of Indonesian Tjap batiking tools, to produce patterned effects.Charyl received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art with a concentration in painting and art history. She has exhibited her paintings in several locations both locally and nationally. Private collectors throughout the United States have purchased her encaustic paintings.

The SOWA Artists Guild at 450 Harrison Avenue is a non-profit association of professional studio artists. The Guild’s purpose is to promote the diversity and individuality of the artists working in this flagship space, 450 Harrison Ave, the center of the SOWA Art & Design District.

The SOWA Art & Design District of Boston has developed into a major artist community with hundreds of artists’ studios and dozens of galleries.
