Mai Mai is a colorist who is inspired by the contrasts of light in nature. The focus of her art is to provide an illustration of nature that expresses hope and beauty.  Mai Mai’s painting style emphasizes the contrast of bright colors with neutrals and the play of shadow and light.  She enjoys working with the design side as well – the juxtaposition of patterns and shapes.  The inspiration for her paintings comes from imagination, dreams, and nature and travel to her favorite places – Acadia National Park, Provence, Key West and Cape Cod.  She is a South End artist based at SOWA in Boston.

Her work has been exhibited at the Prince Street Gallery in New York City, Liberty Hotel in Boston, Provincetown Art Museum, Zullo Gallery in Medfield, MA, Blanche Ames National Juried Art Exhibition in Easton, MA, Hopkinton Center for the Arts, Amazing Things Art Center, Moose Hill Wildlife Gallery in Sharon, MA and the Danforth Museum School.  Mai Mai’s work is held in private collections in France, Switzerland and the United States.
