“My paintings may be about a specific or invented place, or a certain experience of a place. Using colors, forms, and transparency of medium, manipulating them with memory and brushes, the images become “abstracted” landscapes. My goal is to create on a relatively small canvas an intimate experience of a vast, expansive space so the viewer can be transported by their own imagination to places close to his/her memories.
I started painting fourteen years ago while still working as an architect. Over the years, I have studied with many great artists and teachers. I show my work in Boston and New York City and my paintings are in several private collections in the USA, Canada and Europe.”
