For  several years I’ve been photographing edges and transitions of the city. I’ve attempted to take on sections of Chelsea, East Boston, and the accidental interiors formed beneath overpasses.    I continue to search for urban scenes which encourage speculation about how they got that way.  I’m particularly enjoy the irony which arises from an elegantly composed picture of a banal site.

The SOWA Artists Guild at 450 Harrison Avenue is a non-profit association of professional studio artists. The Guild’s purpose is to promote the diversity and individuality of the artists working in this flagship space, 450 Harrison Ave, the center of the SOWA Art & Design District.

The SOWA Art & Design District of Boston has developed into a major artist community with hundreds of artists’ studios and dozens of galleries. At the center of SOWA, 450 Harrison Avenue is home to over 30 galleries and over 100 artist studios. The members of the SOWA Artist Guild are an eclectic group – from different parts of the world, working in different mediums, each with a unique approach to creative expression.
